Halesworth 80O - Celebrating our Market Town’s 800th birthday

On Saturday 2nd September Halesworth will be transformed into a hive of activity. Halesworth 800 is an event for all ages bringing the town alive with a medieval theme celebrating 800 years of the Halesworth Market Charter. There will be lots happening including:

• A parade through the town

• Halesworth Horrible Histories Tour

• Trail linked to a school competition and shop window competition

• Celebration Market, buskers, jousting table crafts and refreshments in the Market Place.

• Medieval Camp in the park, with living history, archery display, Medieval kitchen, music and fashion show

• Street theatre and accoustic music in the Memorial Garden & Arboretum

Moonbow Faces will be offering free face painting in the market place from 10am - 3pm, kindly sponsored by the event.
